Pleas refer transcript below summary for reference :\n\n1. Discussion on upcoming event by Dave pearce.\n1.a. Confirmation of event date from Giulio Perhaps.\n1.b. How to organize in the event.\n\nDavid Pearce event date has not been confirmed yet.\nGiulio has expressed that no extra help other than the usual inworld promotion is required from our chapter’s behalf.\n\n2. Finance discussion by Arcturus Gregory.\n2a. Chapter Account Total\n\nArcturus will present a complete financial report by the end of May as no further contributions have been received apart from 1 linden from Rosemary Clary.\n\nThe preceeding financial reports are available in the chapter website : http://www.transhumanism.com/secondlife\n\n\n2b. Need to ask for donations during events\n\nThis was discussed in considerable length. The conclusions and ideas are summarized as two points :\n\na. Introduction of more donation boxes and requests via “polite” notices to gather funds for event organization.\nb. It was considered that a cover charge be set up mainly for TV07 participants. This is essential to allow relevant population, especially real world transhumanist enthusiasts and affliates of the WTA.\nc. This board has considered a proposal to make the TV07 event inworld “by invitation” only. The details of this system will be worked out in due course by all board members and reviewed.\n\n\n2c. For each event or project, I propose that the Board be able to allocate funds to organizers for time spent and also for miscellaneous expenditures (speakers fees? avatar shapes? posters? etc.). Amounts to be decided by the Board for each event or project.\n\nThis topic was not brought up for discussion during meeting by Arcturus Gregory for good reason. The chapter has just started receiving money and it would be too early to pay stipends to board members for time contributed. Until the chapter is ready, we would like to garner more funds and hopefully individual contributions to board members for their time spent and work done.\n\nHowever, important expenses In form of expenses will be brought under the review of the finance director (Arcturus Gregory) and reimbursements can be given ? This needs to be discussed further in the coming meetings.\n\n\n3. How to establish collaborations with other groups such as :\n3.a. Church of virus.\n3.b. Ethics group.\n3.c. NMC.\n3.d. A solid connection with the media in SL.\n3.e. Others.\n\nGiulio suggests Dancoyote Antonelli to contact NMC.\nArcturus works among the real world NMC. He also has the best contacts.\nSteps are now needed to draw attention for transhumanism and chapter in prominent sims such as Spaceflight museum and others.\n\nThe contributions by Church of Virus were acknowledged and the need to continue this was discussed.\n\nKhannea Suntzu, outreach director has been spreading news of transhumanism and shall continue to reach science related groups who will be interested.\n\nArcturus Gregory and Evalyn Dagmar expressed the need to find specific groups such as a Neuroscience group who would be interested in events such as those by Dr.Anders Sandberg.\n\nArcturus and Manoj introduced SLCN.TV and steps are to be now taken to bring SLCN also into the next event.\n\n\n\n4. Discussion on timing of talk by Arcturus Gregory, Manoj Undercity.\n\nThis was summarized as organizing meetings based on board member availability using email as means of communication. Arcturus has expressed that it be considered to give a minimum time for board members to respond to “important” email.\n\n5. Discussion on xyryx Simca's departure from Board. Election of new member, hopefully Dr.Russel Blackford ie. Metamagician Apogee or another suitable person, Extropia Da Silva ? \n\nKhannea Suntzu, Outreach Director has assumed the responsibility of writing to the three candidates (Eugen Leitl, Russel Blackford and Extropia De Silva) for Simca’s board member position (now decided as vacant) and determining competence with metaverse functionality. Giulio has expressed that new board member inclusion be slowed down until more activity is garnered by the chapter.\n\n7. Introduction of asynchronous meeting system by voting and proposal system.\nPlease refer summary of Point No.4.\n\n8. Could we benefit from translation machines or services at Chapter events? \n\nThis was generally agreed upon as a bad idea as current inworld translator scripts are not upto expectation for a professional event.\nHowever, it was considered during the meeting that with the advent of SL VOICE, live translators be hired. \n\n9. Museum of the Future and other continuing exhibits - should these be restored, and more exhibits done?\n\nThis will be done as soon as more prims are made available after completion of Giulio’s building projects which are currently underway in uvvy island.\n\n10. Trash and litter in Uvvy auditorium and Chapter office (no-return no-delete bullets). \nGiulio has restored management rights to Arcturus and Khannea for doing the same. Manoj already has these.\n\nAmongs other points, Khannea has expressed that we “[10:07] Khannea Suntzu: Create chapters on all of them, divisify, evolve, adapt”.\nTo this effect, Giulio said that events will be held also in Open Croquet space.\n\nMeeting concluded at 10:26 AM PDT which was then followed by discussion about TV07. Giulio has requested help from this chapter on the organizational front iworld. All board members agreed to contribute. \n
